If you’re not wearing a pair of our welding goggles, you could end up with Photo keratitis, which feels like having sunburn on your cornea. Many of the goggles that we carry for welding applications have a body made of soft PVC, and they feature a durable, though ABS lens holder. Welding goggles are available in different shades. A light-duty pair should have a Shade 1 lens.
If you need the highest level of protection available, you’ll want to consider a pair of goggles with Shade 5 lenses. You should never use welding goggles for arc welding because such applications require very dark lenses.
