These orange Class II mesh first responder safety vests are made of orange mesh and feature a combination of lime and silver stripes. The distinctive design of these vests was created by a fire chief, and it didn’t take long for many different fire departments to adopt the design.

Today, these McKinney Safety Vests are used all over the country, and since they meet ANSI Class II safety regulations, they’re great for high-traffic areas. The Class II specification makes these vests ideal for traffic zones between 25 and 55 MPH.

These vests are frequently worn by first responders but can be used by several different types of public servants. If you’re working around an accident or event, these vests can help keep you visible and safe.

The tear-a-way Velcro® feature makes these vests great for first responders because the Velcro will automatically release the vests if they snag an object. For maximum visibility, the vests have two vertical bands of reflective material, and they have a single horizontal band.
